Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr says the team has learnt from their disappointing performance in the 4-4 home draw against Sierra Leone and will avoid same mistake against Benin, reports NGNewsHub.com.

The three-time African champions will take on Benin at the Stade Charles de Gaulle, Porto-Novo on Saturday.

A point from the game will see Super Eagles book a place in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon.

“The lesson from the match against Sierra Leone is that we cannot relax even when we are leading in a match, we have to fight till the end of the match, we have to stay concentrated,” Rohr stated.

“Benin wont be easy , but we are confident, we have good players, some of them are doing great at their clubs, so we want the qualification which will be possible with a draw. That’s the first step for us.

“To win that game will be very, very difficult, but we should not lose the match.”
