Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel has pushed Callum Hudson-Odoi to improve his level of play if he wants to preserve his starting spot.
Despite scoring a goal in Chelsea’s 7-0 win against Norwich at the weekend, Tuchel challenged Hudson-Odoi to show consistency over 250 games in order to prove a point.
Hudson-Odoi was chastised by Tuchel for failing to press the Norwich defensive quickly after the game began.
“Let’s be honest, there’s no reason we should start pressuring in the second minute if we can do it in the first,” Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho remarked.
When we put on the shirt, we want to do everything we can to be the best at what we do right from the outset.
“I am quite pleased with the performance, the intensity, and the effort we put forth in the game.”
