The American professional wrestler Jonathan David Good popularly known by his ring names, Dean Ambrose in WWE and Jon Moxley in AEW, has taken a bold step in getting treatment for alcohol abuse through a rehabilitation program.
The latest update on Moxley’s health was released by the AEW president and CEO of all Elite wrestling, Tony Khan, in his Tweet on Monday morning.”
“Jon Moxley has allowed me to share with you, that he is entering an inpatient alcoholic treatment program. Jon is a beloved member of the AEW family. We all stand with him and Renee, and all his family and friends as he shifts his focus to recovery,” Khan said.
The 35 year old wrestler was recently on screen on the Oct. 27 edition of Dynamite winning Dark Order’s 10 to advance in the AEW World Title Elimination Tournament, he was scheduled to face Orange Cassidy in tomorrow’s semi-finals in the Dynamite episode, in which the winner who was formally expected to be Mosley would advance to the AEW full Gear Pay-Per-View on November 13 to face Brayn Danielson in the finals.
There are no words on how Moxley’s part in the tournament will be handled, but we should know after Thursday’s Dynamite.
The AEW star who just released his autobiography titled ‘Mox’ on the 2nd of November 2021, has made some interesting revelations about his stay in WWE in the he book where he describes his time in the WWE as a “living hell”.
Khan further wrote on Twitter: “Jon is making a very brave choice to get help and we’re embracing his choice and supporting him however we can. I’m proud to call Jon a friend, and like many of you, I’m also a fan to Mix and look forward to time in the future when he is eventually ready to return to the ring. Until then thank you for supporting Jon and respecting his privacy at this time.”

As the superstar enters his rehab-induced hiatus, his fans, we wish him, his wife Renee and his almost five months old baby, Nora, all the best.
